A beacon of light in a heavy storm.

Gidley Dry Gin pays tribute to the island’s namesake – Governor Philip Gidley King – and the enduring spirit of those who navigated treacherous seas to settle remote frontiers. This wasn’t just a gin. It was a monument to resilience.

The design takes the form of a tall, flask-like Saverglass bottle – upright, commanding, and purposeful. Hand-painted daymark stripes wrap the glass in bold blue and white, inspired by lighthouse codes that once guided ships safely through the Bass Strait. The effect is striking – both a navigation symbol and a signal of strength.

Gidley doesn’t rely on decorative embellishment. Its stature, symbolism and structure do the storytelling. It feels historic without being nostalgic – a contemporary artefact that honours legacy without looking backwards.

Each spirit needed to stand on its own, with its own voice and story. That’s what makes the design so powerful – every bottle shares something unique.
